Update on the Church Buildings

A number of specialist surveys have been carried out on the church halls, kitchen and toilet facilities. A costed report has been submitted to the Kirk Session by the surveyor in charge, Mr S Hamilton. This report gives us costings for an upgrade of the halls complex to make it a safe and suitable environment for Sunday worship and associated weekday activities. 

The Annual Stated Meeting will be held on Tuesday 27th March, followed by a Congregational Meeting, and a letter has been sent out to every member giving the date, time and location. I would urge you to attend this meeting of the congregation if you are physically able to do so. It is your chance to have a say about the future direction of the congregation. The turnout for the last congregational meeting held on 20 December 2011 in New Trinity, at which we discussed and agreed the disposal of the Sanctuary, was disappointingly low – less than 60 people from a membership of nearly 300. 

Without the support of its members, the congregation has no future. So please look out for the letter and put the date in your diary.
